The police in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas have arrested a man for allegedly making death threats against the governor, Benigno Fitial.
48 year old Brian Kendall was arrested on Saturday on charges of threatening and disturbing the peace.
He had been protesting outside the administration building the previous day and later met with members of Mr Fitial’s staff, during which he blamed the Governor for the state of the territory’s economy and made threats against him.
