Marshalls proposes early September as Forum date

The Marshall Islands is proposing that this year’s annual Pacific Islands Forum be held in Majuro from the September the 3rd to the 6th.

The Marshall Islands government put the dates to Pacific Islands Forum leaders for endorsement.

This is the second time since the Forum was established in 1970 that the Marshall Islands is the host.

The Forum was held in Majuro in 1996.

The Forum’s Secretary General Tuiloma Neroni Slade is scheduled to visit Majuro in a month to discuss preparations and plans for Forum meetings.
