Sport: Manu Samoa up to seventh in IRB Rankings

Posted at 22:44 on 02 December, 2012 UTC

Manu Samoa will move up to seventh place in the IRB World Rugby Rankings on Monday, ahead of the Pool Allocation Draw for the 2015 World Cup.

Despite the Manu not playing a match at the weekend, Wales’ defeat to Australia means the Red Dragons will drop two places to ninth in the world, behind Samoa and Argentina.

That means the World Cup semi finalists will only be in the third band of teams for tomorrow’s draw, alongside Italy, Tonga and Scotland.
