Oceania football champions Tahiti will face World and European champions Spain at next year’s FIFA Confederations Cup tournament following the official draw ceremony in Sao Paulo at the weekend.
The French territory beat New Caledonia in June’s Oceania Nations Cup final to be crowned regional champions for the first time.
They’ve been drawn in Group B for the tournament in June alongside Spain, Uruguay and the champions of Africa, whose identity will be revealed after next February’s Africa Cup of Nations final.
