Sport: NZ and Australia on course for Pacific basketball finals

New Zealand and Australia are on course to meet in both the men’s and women’s final at the Pacific Youth Basketball Champs in Victoria.

In the men’s draw, Australia thumped PNG 109-31 while NZ beat Tahiti by 22 points to reach today’s semi finals, where they will meet Guam and Fiji.

In the women’s draw, the hosts beat PNG by more than 100 points while NZ thumped Samoa.

They’ll also face Guam and Fiji in the semis.
