One of Hawaii’s most well known chefs, Sam Choy has been invited to the Ulu Summit in American Samoa next month.
The territory’s Director of Agriculture Lealao Mel Purcell says one of the aims of the Summit is to demonstrate the full potential of breadfruit which grows abundantly on island.
He hopes products made from breadfruit such as flour and chips can be exported to the United States.
Mr Choy who is a chef, restaurateur and television personality, is a classmate of the Agriculture Director.
The Summit will take place early December.
