Alexander Jennings has been unanimously selected tor a third term as the representative of Swains Island in the American Samoa legislature.
He was selected at a meeting of about 20 people of Swains Island descent held yesterday at the American Samoa Election Office.
Mr Jennings was the only name that was nominated for the position of Swains Representative.
The Swains delegate votes in committee but does not vote on the House floor.
Mr Jennings said he was humbled to have the confidence and trust of the people of Swains to be their representative for another two years.
He said he will fight for more recognition for Swains in the American Samoa Government , improve transportation to the island and access programs and services for Swains.
At present there is no-one living on the island.
