A motion of no confidence in the Solomon Islands prime minister Gordon Darcy Lilo has been set down for tabling in parliament today.
The opposition leader and MP for North East Guadalcanal, Dr Derek Sikua will move that the National Parliament of Solomon Islands resolves it has no confidence in the Prime Minister.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports that according to the provisional order paper, the office of Parliament listed the motion yesterday to be mentioned today.
The finalized order paper is expected before parliament sits this morning.
Other matters in the provisional order paper include a message and announcement by the speaker, statement of government business, and another private members motion to ask parliament to establish a special select committee to look into the plight and wishes of the people of West Papua.
