Georgian delegation donates computers to Fiji

A delegation from the Ministry of Education and Science from the Republic of Georgia has donated over 200 Net Books to Fiji.

The visit by the Georgian delegation comes days before the Russian Foreign Minister arrives after stops in New Zealand and Australia.

According to Australian media, the Russian embassy in Canberra is ruling out lobbying Fiji to recognise Georgia’s break-away regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia as independent states.

The Georgian delegation says they hope to extend their assistance to Fiji into other new areas in the future.

Fiji established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Georgia in March 2010.
