A gunman went on a shooting rampage in the Northern Mariana Islands, killing at least four people, two children, and wounding eight mostly Korean tourists on Saipan.

Hospital staff says five bodies were in the hospital morgue, including the shooter, who later took his own life.

Local media reports says the gunman first shot and killed two men in their late 20s and early 30s, both local residents, and two children under the age of 10.

He then went to a popular tourist site and shot a group of mostly South Korean tourists, wounding eight people, including two Korean children.
