Work on a new constitution for Fiji is to get underway soon.

The Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has confirmed that he will reveal Fiji’s roadmap to democracy within the next few days.

While speaking to villagers in Tailevu North, Commodore Bainimarama said a constitution review team would soon be appointed to look at a new constitution and all the electoral changes.

Fiji Village reports that he also told villagers that when the constitution was abrogated by President Ratu Josefa Iloilo nothing much altered.

The prime minister said there was a little change but all the laws were brought back through decrees.
