Inter Island Air resumes flights from American Samoa to Apia

An American Samoan airline Inter Island Air is resuming its on-demand flights between Pago Pago and Apia, with the first flight leaving tomorrow.

The airline ended its on-demand flights to Apia in December, after its air certificate to fly to Samoa expired.

A company official Esther Sene Prescott says the first flight is fully booked and there is still a high demand for seats on the inter-Samoa route.

A round-trip costs 165 US dollars.

Inter Island Air has been issued approval by the US department of transportation to operate as a scheduled carrier and Sene Prescott says they are planning to begin scheulded flights next Monday.
