The Election Office in American Samoa has declared November 7th the 2006 as the day of the general election in the territory.
A public notice says the yet to be announced designated polling stations will be opened from 6a.m. to 6p.m.
Voters in the territory will go to the polls this year to cast ballots for a congressional seat in Washington and the local House race.
The term of office for both the delegate and local House is from January 2007 until January 2009.
As of last Friday, only 30 candidates have been confirmed for the general election.
