Another Fijian security guard is reported to have been killed in Iraq, bringing the total to 8 Fijians killed in less than two weeks.

Radio Fiji reports that the guard was shot dead by insurgents early this morning near Baghdad.

The radio says news of the killing has been sent by the dead man’s colleagues who also work for the British company, Armour Group Limited,

Three Fijian security guards employed by Armour Group were killed in a roadside bomb blast near Baghdad on Monday.

Last week four Fijian security guards were killed and two seriously injured in an insurgent ambush near Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
