The body of a United States Peace Corps volunteer, who died from a shark attack in Tonga, is expected to be flown home on Tuesday.

Tessa Horan, of Santa Fe in New Mexico, was to start work, but she died on Wednesday from injuries sustained while swimming off a wharf in Tu’anuku in Vava’u.

The US government thanked the Tu’anuku villagers and Tongan police for their sympathy and assistance.
